What our pilot advisors are saying.

Independent RIA, $180M AUM

Solo practitioner, 8-year practice, primarily HNW retirees — New England

I used to spend 45 minutes after every call writing up notes before I could do anything else. Now I review a structured summary on the drive home.

This advisor runs a solo practice with approximately 80 active client households. Post-meeting documentation had always been the part of the job that felt most like administrative overhead rather than advisory work. Before Advisorbriefs, every meeting generated 30–45 minutes of documentation time — time that pushed evening hours later and compressed the number of client review cycles possible in a given week.

After three months in the pilot, this advisor reports that post-meeting documentation time has dropped to under 5 minutes per meeting — a review of the structured summary, minor edits, and sync to Redtail. The compliance flag feature caught two instances where material disclosures needed more specific language in the note. Both were surfaced before the note was finalized.

3-person team, mix of retirees and pre-retirees — Mid-Atlantic

The compliance piece was what convinced me. Every note is timestamped and immutable. If I get an exam request, I can pull any client meeting record in seconds.

This three-person practice had been through one SEC examination in the prior three years. The documentation retrieval process for that exam was described as "three days of pulling files, searching email, and reconstructing what was discussed in meetings two years ago." The experience drove a serious evaluation of documentation tooling.

With Advisorbriefs, the practice now has a structured record for every client meeting since onboarding. During a mock examination walkthrough with their compliance consultant, they were able to produce documentation for six randomly selected client meetings within minutes. The consultant's observation: the records were more complete than what most practices produce manually.

2-year-old practice, growing quickly, compliance-focused — Southeast

I was skeptical about another software subscription. But the CRM sync is the piece I didn't know I needed. Notes go straight into Wealthbox. My team sees everything in one place.

This founder-led practice had launched two years prior and was in growth mode — adding approximately 15 new client households per quarter. Documentation workflow had been acceptable at smaller scale but was becoming a bottleneck. Notes were being written in a separate document editor and then manually entered into Wealthbox at the end of the day, a process that generated both time loss and consistency problems across the small team.

The CRM sync to Wealthbox was the deciding factor in adoption. Notes now appear in the client record within minutes of the meeting ending. The practice reports that their advisory associate — who handles note finalization — has reduced that task from roughly 90 minutes daily to under 20 minutes.

From the Field

What advisors in our pilot cohort are saying

"The structured format is the thing. Consistent sections every time — no more trying to remember what I was supposed to note and what I actually noted."

Independent RIA, $130M AUM, Pacific Northwest

"Setup took about 20 minutes. I had it running on my Redtail account the same afternoon. I didn't expect that."

Solo RIA, $78M AUM, Midwest

"My compliance consultant asked what documentation tool we were using after I sent her our quarterly review notes. That's the reaction I wanted."

RIA Partner, $210M AUM, Texas

"I've been doing this for 14 years and I still catch myself thinking about what I need to write down during calls. Advisorbriefs removes that entirely."

Senior RIA, $320M AUM, New England

"The pre-meeting brief with Orion context is underrated. I walk into every call already knowing the performance story. That changes the conversation."

Independent RIA, $155M AUM, Mid-Atlantic

"Priced fairly for what it does. I've paid more for tools that do a tenth of this."

Founding RIA, $88M AUM, Southeast
